Engage your upper primary and secondary students in an exciting Valentine’s Day STEM activity with this template for building sweet treat boxes and kindness cards. This resource is designed to provide teachers and substitutes with a fun and interactive project that encourages problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity among students. The resource includes three easy-to-follow files containing detailed instructions and construction guides. These guides come with 3 different printable templates that allow students to assemble and create boxes capable of holding various treats or other small gift items. Each version of the templates contains illustrations for students to color and personalize, along with kindness cards to hold the sweets inside. The options for the kindness cards include a mindfulness heart illustration with a blank card, a bee illustration with a “Bee my valentine?” illustrated card, or a doughnut illustration with an “I’m doughnuts for you” card. To successfully complete this activity, teachers and students will need access to the following materials: Printer Computer White paper and card or heavy GSM paper/cardstock suitable for printing Markers or coloring pencils Stanley knife and/or scissors Ruler Strong double-sided tape or glue stick Sweets, lollies, or chocolates to fill up the box Please be aware that the downloaded resource will not contain the watermark shown in the examples.
